Standard Lessons

'Standard lessons are 1 hour for £23 reduced to £19. There is no car sharing and pick up can be arranged from home or place of work. A key emphasis at Welwyn Learners is that learning and improving is a part of every lesson

Intensive Courses

At Welwyn Learners we have a choice of courses to suit each individual. Intensive courses can be booked at reduced prices and are generally completed within 1-4 weeks. However, this can be flexible, discuss with instructor. This can be a great benefit for those who need or want to reach test standard quickly.
 

Motorway Lessons

Motorway lessons are a great advantage to take as motorways differ from ordinary roads as they are designed to help traffic travel faster and in greater safety, putting greater demands on the driver. Traffic moving faster means conditions are also changing faster so you need to be alert. You will also encounter signs and signals that you would not have seen in your standard driving lessons, so experience would be a distinct advantage. It can be daunting to many new drivers to drive on the motorway, so why not gain motorway skills and experience alongside an experienced instructor.

Pass Plus

Pass Plus is a six module training syllabus designed by the DSA to help newly qualified drivers enhance and extend their driving skills. 1 in 5 newly qualified drivers are involved in a crash within their first year. By taking the Pass Plus course, you will benefit both skillfully and financially. With the Pass Plus course you will learn new skills such as all weather, night time and motorway driving as well as extending confidence in your existing skills. Furthermore, on completion you will qualify for a substantial discount on your car insurance. Over 63% of insurance companies will offer you savings of 30% or more.

The Pass Plus is a 6 hour course at a cost of £130.

Defensive Driving

Today’s roads are very busy and drivers can often be unpredictable and sometimes hostile causing a higher risk of accidents. In such conditions, drivers need to learn and practice a defensive driving strategy.  Defensive driving involves effective observation, good anticipation and control and will help you recognise a hazard before it occurs. Defensive Driving Lessons are a great advantage to any driver, your safety whilst driving lies mainly in your own hands. The better control you have of your vehicle and road space, the safer you'll be. Many employers will be more inclined to offer a company car if a Defensive Driving Course has been taken, some employers insist on this.
 

City of London/West End Driving:

Many experienced drivers find driving in the City/West End daunting as it is very busy and fast moving. At Welwyn Learners we offer lessons that will involve you driving to and around the City/West End. This would be a great advantage to those who wish to commute or potential courier/taxi drivers.
